A Photoshoot at Landoll’s Mohican Castle
Nestled in the heart of Ohio, Landoll’s Mohican Castle is a hidden gem that feels like a step back in time. The rich textures of stone, the spiraling staircases, and the fairytale turrets make it a perfect backdrop for an autumn photoshoot. As soon as you arrive, you’re greeted with the warm, rustic charm of the castle’s exterior, adorned with seasonal decorations and surrounded by lush greenery.
This magical setting provided the perfect atmosphere for my recent shoot with Emma. From the castle’s whimsical details to the natural surroundings, it gave us endless opportunities to create something special.
We embraced the cozy and casual feel of autumn with Emma in a bright red knit sweater and jeans. The natural colors of the castle grounds provided the perfect backdrop, giving the image a sense of warmth and comfort.

In the next shot, we moved closer to one of the stone walls of the castle. The rough texture of the stone contrasts with the soft knit of Emma’s sweater, adding depth to the image. Her natural pose, leaning casually against the wall, highlights the timeless beauty of the castle’s architecture.
Elegant and Bold: A Pop of Color
This close-up shot focuses on Emma’s radiant smile and the gown’s intricate details, giving off a feeling of grace and confidence. The pop of pink truly stands out in this castle garden setting.
For the final look of this series, we embraced a more dramatic and fantasy-inspired style. Emma, wearing the same lace gown, posed at the castle gates, adding a mystical element to the shoot. The iron gates and stone archway of the castle created a frame around her, giving the image a fairytale-like quality.
